A pre-dinner reception ceremony was held this evening at the Zeyathiri Beikman Outdoor Ground in Nay Pyi Taw to mark the 80th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day. The event was hosted by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla.
As the ceremony commenced, a fireworks display lit up the sky, launched from the Armed Forces Day military parade ground and the Bayintnaung Pavilion in honor of the 80th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day.


Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests in attendance. Among them were Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, along with his delegation, and Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander- in-Chief (Army) and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and wife, SAC Secretary and wife, SAC Joint Secretary and wife, SAC members and wives, Union level dignitaries, Union ministers and wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, families of the Thirty Comrades, families of the retired Commander-in-Chiefs, retired senior officers of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air), Independence Mawgunwin awardees, advisors, and deputy ministers, retired military personnel ambassadors, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, military attachés and officials from foreign military attachés offices, representatives from ethnic armed organizations signatory to the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), political party leaders and officials, family members and relatives of Aung San Thuriya title recipients, officers and soldiers who have received the Thiha Thura, Thura, and other Tatmadaw gallantry medals along with their family members and relatives, officers and soldiers who were awarded with the Brave Heroism Commemorative Badges, their family members and relatives, members of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, transformed people’s militias, local people’s militias, central border guard advisory and supervisory Force, Fire Brigade, officials and staff from various ministries, officials from YMBA, Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, Myanmar Maternal and Children Welfare Association, officials from the Central Committee of the Interfaith Unity Association, artists who participated in the Armed Forces Day commemorative drama, winners of military march song competitions, soldier songs, poetry, short story and novel contests, representatives from the News Media Council, the Motion Picture, Music and Theater Association, and the Strategic Studies Group, members of university training corps, teachers and students from the Ethnic Development University, and specially invited guests.
Throughout the evening, performances by the Myawady Music Troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army), artists from the Myanmar Police Force, and the Russian Armed Forces Band entertained attendees with patriotic songs.


After the dinner, the Senior General and accompanying officials warmly greeted the attendees and observed a fireworks display commemorating the event’s success.
SeniorGeneralMinAungHlaing, alongwithhiswife, DawKyuKyuHla, and other attendees, watched a performance of “Divine Words of the Three Flowers” presented by servicemen and servicewomen, under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare at Zeyathiri Beikman Thabin Hall.
After the performance, the Senior General and his wife presented commemorative flower baskets to the performers, and warmly greeted the attendees.
In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, statues of military vessels, helicopters, armored vehicles, and the three kings who founded the First, Second, and Third Myanmar Empires were beautifully illuminated along the main road leading to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). It is reported that attendees of the dinner watched the display with great enjoyment.
