EV cars, which are currently exempt from road/bridge tolls, will have to pay them starting from April 1.
Starting from April 1, 2023, EV cars have exempted from road/bridge tolls on all roads/bridges operated under the BOT system, including the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, Union Roads, and all roads/bridges in regions/states.
Since the road/bridge toll exemption period expired on March 31, they will have to pay them starting from April 1.
It is reported that the relevant officials, including officials from the Roads Department of the Ministry of Construction, agreed to the collection of road/bridge tolls during a meeting held recently regarding EVs.
