Ceremony to present honorary titles for 2025 was held at Thabin Hall of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office this morning.Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address at the ceremony and presented honorary titles.
Also present were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, the SAC Secretary and wife, the SAC Joint Secretary and wife, SAC members and wives, union level dignitaries, union ministers and wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander- in-Chief and wives, deputy ministers, officials and title recipients and families.
In his address, the Senior General said at a time when all-out efforts are being made for peace, stability, progress and modernization of the nation, the strength of all nationalities plays a pivotal role and their collective participation is crucial. Success will be achieved only through the collective participation of every individual with spiritual force, awareness, and physical and intellectual capacity alongside the State’s leadership. There are also honorable persons, who made brilliant performances by showing their above-average diligence, perseverance and strength. The nation is conferring honorary titles and badges on the persons, who made selfless and daring efforts brilliantly with heart and soul to the extent of their intellectual and technical knowledge under the State’s leadership, on the Independence Day and other significant days.
In fact, persons who contributed brilliant efforts in nationbuilding task, sacrificed life in safeguarding Our Three Main National Causes, the national policy, made efforts in enforcing community peace and rule of law, made extraordinary efforts for the emergence of a modern and developed nation in accord with the political, economic and social objectives, served diplomatic duties with outstanding performance in the international affairs, introduced a world level creation or innovation in the field of science and arts or other areas, served the national interest with professional skills in literature and fine arts are the ideals of the State. Annually, the SAC is presenting titles and awards to such persons in honour of the extraordinary efforts they had made in the national interest.
Furthermore, the State Administration Council not only confers honorary titles and awards to deserving individuals within the country but also to foreign nationals who have wholeheartedly collaborated and contributed to the welfare of Myanmar. This is done to strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between nations.
The process of awarding honorary titles and medals is carried out systematically and in accordance with established regulations. Only those who truly deserve such honors are duly recognized, bringing pride and joy to the recipients and their families.
Today, at the ceremony for conferring honorary titles, a total of 50 individuals were honored. These include 13 recipients of the Sithu title, 3 recipients of the Thura title, 17 recipients of the Zeya Kyawhtin title, 14 recipients of the Wunna Kyaw htin title, 1 recipient of the Alinkar Kyaw Swa title, and 2 recipients of the Theikpa Kyaw Swa title. These awards were announced on January 4 (In dependence Day) and March 2 (Peasants’ Day) of 2025.
The government’s implementation of the Five-Point Road map, Nine Objectives, and Two National Goals is extensive and profound. For instance, the na tional prosperity initiatives encompass ensuring the rule of law, security, smooth transportation, peaceful education, and the well-being of the people in their daily lives. Each goal and objective involves detailed tasks and responsibilities across various sectors.
As is widely known, preparations are underway to hold a free and fair multi-party dmocratic general election. The government and the people must work together to ensure the successful conduct of this election.
The government expresses its gratitude and pride towards those who have made exceptional contributions to the nation, including those who have sacrificed and taken risks in fulfilling their duties.
It is hoped that the exemplary efforts of these individuals will inspire future generations to continue striving for the longterm stability, peace, prosperity, and modernization of the nation.
Following this, the Senior General personally conferred the honorary titles to each recipient. These included 13 recipients of the Sithu title, 3 recipients of the Thura title, 17 recipients of the Zeya Kyawhtin title, 14 recipients of the Wunna Kyawhtin title, 1 recipient of the Alinkar Kyaw Swa title, and 2 recipients of the Theikpa Kyaw Swa title.
After the ceremony, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister posed for a group photo with the awardees.
At the conclusion of the event, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister warmly greeted the attendees, the awardees, and their family members.
