Kyan Sittha frigate of Myanmar Navy participates the International Fleet Review 2002 (IFR-2022) which is organized by Bangladesh Navy from December 6th to 9th in the bay of Bengal in Cox’s Bazar, it is known.
On December 7th, warships from navies introduced and sailed one after another in long line at the Fleet Review inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. After three frigates from the host and F-58 from India, locally built Kyan Sittha frigate of Myanmar Navy marched and introduced the Prime Minister.
At the images and videos about the IFR-2022, it is seen distinctly that PM made queries interestingly to Commander-in-Chief(Navy) of Bangladesh navy and the admiral explained about the ship with a catalogue while it was marching.
Kyan Sittha, one of stealth frigates in Myanma Navy, is a class of guided-missile class and commissioned in 2014. There are many posts on Social Networks show interest for Myanmar Navy for marching of Myanmar frigate earlier than other big countries such as US ,China,, Turkey, UK, Germany and Italy etc at the introduction march of warships at IFR-2022 and some posts also expressed taking honors for the interest of Bangladesh PM to locally built Myanmar frigate.
For having the priority to march earlier at the introduction to Bangladesh PM and making a joint drill of Myanmar Navy frigate and warships from other countries including US, one Facebook user Tun Tun Win said that for making joint drill with other warships from US, China, Russia and India at IFR-2022 in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, for having the chance for CO of Myanmar frigate Kyan Sittha to make earlier introduction than CO from the warships of other countries such as US and Thai, for seeing that Bangladesh Commander-in-Chief was busy to take a catalogue and explained about the Myanmar Navy ship and PM showed the behavior of it is true that the ship was locally built and for announcing by commentator that Kyan Sittha was a Myanmar king in which era and explaining about the weapons and missiles on the ship, all are good for Kyan Sittha to take honor.
The four-day IFR 2022 began with participation of navies and maritime organizations of 28 countries, including US, UK, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, India, China, ROK, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Turkey and Netherland.
