Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official goodwill visit to the Russian Federation, met military and civilian officers studying in Russia on the evening of March 4 at the Conference Hall of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by accompanying delegation members Joint Secretary of the Council General Ye Win Oo, Council Member General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, the Chief Minister of Bago Region, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Linn Ohn, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Myanmar military attaché (Army, Navy, and Air), and military and civilian officers studying in Russia.
In his address, the Senior General stated that the goodwill delegation he led had come to Russia at the invitation of Russian President H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. This visit is more significant than a typical goodwill trip, as it included meetings with the Russian President, Prime Minister, and the heads of both houses of the Russian Parliament. He also mentioned plans to open consular offices and discussed military and civilian education matters during the meetings.
The Senior General emphasized that outstanding individuals Russian-educated military personnel are very beneficial for the country as some of them are shouldering high-level civilian duties. Families of the embassy and military attaché office should lend a helping hand in the relations with Russia.
Russian is always standing by Myanmar on the international stage. Ukraine crises broke out due to the acts of some countries that may directly or indirectly harm Russia. The West is trying to break up Russia. In the past also, the West had done for the collapse of the Soviet Union. Currently, the international situation is changing with the times.
Families must also be aware of the opportunities for the country through studies and watchfulness. Further progress of Russia-Myanmar trade is required. Trade development should be based on Novosibirsk, while the country exports must meet the quality standard. As goods for mutual trade are available, trade promotion activities must be carried out.
Staff of the embassy and military attaché office should read books and study languages during the free time for their own benefit. They should study Russian literature and language. They must also live in unity.
Moscow Theravada Buddhist Centre was set up for promotion and propagation of the Sasana.Collective efforts should be made to fulfil the needs of the monks.
The Senior General presented food stuff and honorary cash awards for the families through the ambassador and military attaché. The ambassador presented commemorative to the Senior General.
The Senior General signed the visitors book of the embassy and cordially conversed with the families of the embassy and military attaché office.
