At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, a high-level Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing departed from Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport aboard a special flight this morning for an official goodwill visit.
The Myanmar high-level delegation, led by the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, was seen off at the airport by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the council’s secretary and members, Union Ministers, the chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, and officials from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Myanmar and the Military Embassy.
Along with the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, the council’s Joint Secretary, General Ye Win Oo, Council Member General Nyo Saw, General Moe Aung, Union Ministers U Than Swe, U Ko Ko Lwin, Doctor Myo Thein Kyaw, the chief ministers of Bago region, high-ranking Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), deputy ministers, and military and civilian officials, joined the delegation on the trip.
During the trip, they will attend high-level meetings, hold discussions with the President of the Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the Speakers of the Parliament, and other officials of the Russian government. During the goodwill visit, they will discuss issues related to further strengthening the friendship, economic, security, and strategic cooperation between the governments and peoples of both countries.
This year marks the 77th anniversary of Russia-Myanmar diplomatic relations. Progress has been made in bilateral relations, state-level visits, and multi-sectoral cooperation, and the two countries will continue to enhance their relations, it was reported.
