The Myanmar women’s national football team, which won the championship by defeating host Nepal by two goals to none in the final of the Four Nations Women’s Invitational Tournament held in Nepal from February 17 to 26, returned to their homeland this morning.
The victorious Myanmar women’s national football team was welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and government officials, officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Myanmar Football Federation Chairman U Zaw Zaw and officials, and the victorious Myanmar women’s national football team was honoured with 690 million kyats at the airport.
The Myanmar women’s national football team will compete in the ASEAN Women’s Championship, Asian Cup Women’s Qualifiers , and the (33rd) SEA Games in Thailand this year.
