The government has been cracking down on telecom frauds and criminal activities effectively in cooperation with international organizations including those from neighbouring countries and foreigners involved in them are repatriated to relevant countries properly.
Today, 84 Indonesian nationals were repatriated through Myanmar- Thai Friendship Bridge-2 to the relevant country in accordance with the law, rules and regulations on humanitarian grounds and in consideration of friendship between countries.
Security and Border Affairs Minister of Kayin State Government Col Min Thu Kyaw and officials inspected the process to ensure proper repatriation.
Afterward, a repatriation ceremony was held, attended by the Security and Border Affairs Minister, Director Mr. Judha Nugraha of Citizen Protection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy District Officer Police Lt-Col Sermkiat Kampira of Tak Province Immigration Department and officials, and responsible officials transfer repatriation documents to officials from the relevant country.
The government has been clamping down on those who operate them and are involved in online scams and gambling resolutely and combating them in cooperation with international organizations including those from neighbouring countries, especially through the trilateral cooperation among Myanmar, China and Thailand, actively and consistently.
Moreover, the government has been taking measures to expose foreigners who control online scam centres behind the scene or involved in them in order to take effective action against the offenders while cooperating with others actively to repatriate foreigners in trouble for various reasons and foreign human trafficking victims to relevant countries as soon as possible.
