The Thai Minister for Foreign Affairs delegation, Mr Maris Sangiampongsa, paid a courtesy on State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They talked about further strengthening existing friendly ties between Myanmar, Thailand, and Tatmadaws and promoting cooperation.
They frankly exchanged views on plans to decisively take action against operators of telecom fraud and online gambling based on the investigation through collaborative efforts of neighbouring countries and international organizations.
The discussions emphasized that Myanmar is exposing and taking action against offenders in telecom fraud and online gambling as a national duty.
They underscored further cooperation plans to ensure peace and stability with the rule of law in border regions between Myanmar and Thailand, eradicate illegal trade and terrorism, and exchange information.
Moreover, they discussed Myanmar’s endeavours to hold a free and fair general election and the promotion of cooperation in all sectors between the two countries.
SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, and senior Tatmadaw officers were present at the meeting with the senior general. The Thai Minister for Foreign Affairs was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Songwit Noonpackdee, the Ambassador of the Royal Thai Embassy to Myanmar, the Thai Military Attaché, and officials.
