As crackdown on people who are involved in online gambling and scams and criminal activities in Shwe Kokko and KK Park in Myawady in Kayin State by illegally entering Myanmar from neighboring countries is underway, 210 more foreigners were detained today.
Combined teams of relevant departments are collecting necessary personal information and documents within one day to repatriate them to relevant countries as soon as possible.
During the period from 30 January to 20 February, 2025, a total of 1,763 illegal migrants were uncovered and detained and 261 of them have been repatriated to relevant countries via Thailand in accordance with laws, rules and regulations of relevant countries and plans are ready to repatriate the remaining 1,502 illegal migrants, who are properly detained by authorities.
