Inauguration ceremony of union-level MSME products fair and competition was held at Taboung grounds, Uppatasanti Pagoda here this morning, formally opened by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.




Also present at the ceremony with the Senior General were Chairman of MSME Develop-ment Work Committee Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SAC mem-bers and wives, union ministers and wives, union level dignitaries and wives, region/state chief ministers and wives, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, deputy ministers, MSME agency chairs from regions and states and officials, officials of associa-tions, exhibition in-charges, heads of department, ethnic cultural dance troupes and local people.
Vice-Senior General Soe Win, union ministers U Win Shein, U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, Dr Charlie Than, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chair U Than Tun Oo formally opened the fair.
Chairman of State Admini-stration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing formally inaugurated the fair by pushing a button.
The Senior General and atten-dees enjoyed the dance and song staged by ethnic cultural dance troupes in honor of 78th Anni-versary Union Day commemo-rative MSME products fair and competition.




After the opening ceremony, the Senior General, accompani-ed by the entourage, visited the booths of Industry Ministry, Agriculture, Livestock and Irri-gation Ministry, Cooperatives and Rural Development Mini-stry, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Ministry, Commerce Ministry, Science and Technology Mini-stry, Health Ministry, MSME booths of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw, Kachin State, Kayah State, Kayin State, Chin State, Sagaing Region, Taninthayi Re-gion, Bago Region, Magway Region, Mon State, Rakhine State, Yangon Region, Shan State, and Ayeyawady Region, exhibi-tion wise with keen interest. The Senior General inquired about the product-wise operations, raw material supply and demand, goods manufacturing, available export markets, requirements, and extension of internal and external distribution, and looked into the requirements through coordination with officials.
Later, the Senior General and members visited and encoura-ged the Mandalay Region MSME Product Exhibition, Business and Economic Linkages Exhi-bition, Myanmar Banks Associa-tion Exhibition, Digital Corner Technology Exhibition, Myan-mar Economic Holdings Limited MSME Products Exhibition, Myanmar Economic Corpora-tion MSME Products Exhibition, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Exhibition, Myanmar Traditional Medicine Manu-facturers and Medical Equipment Manufacturers Association Exhibition, and Myanmar Oil Millers Association product exhibition with great interest this afternoon.
The Senior General inquired about the product-wise operations, raw material supply and demand, goods manufactur-ing, available export markets, re-quirements, and extension of internal and external distribution, and looked into the requirements.
The Senior General and party then looked around the booths that were displaying the products of small industries and production cooperative societies, MSME products of private organizations in buggies.




The Union-level MSME Products Fair and Competition will take place from February 10 to 14 at Tabaung grounds, located south of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw. To enhance cooperation among MSMEs across regions and states, ensure interregional support within the production chain, identify strengths and weaknesses, and encourage manufacturers to align with the principle of “the same price, the better the product; the same product, the better the quality,” while also promoting the success of ‘One Region One Product’ initiatives. Additionally, to con-tinuously enhance the products and services of MSMEs while increasing domestic consumption of new valueadded products as a substitute for foreign imports. Furthermore, to expand markets abroad and strengthen conne-ctions and collaboration between MSMEs, domestic stake-holders, and foreign investors more effectively and to present MSME Model Product Awards recognized at the Union level and to provide support for the long-term sustainability of MS-ME businesses. These objectives serve as the core goals of the event. A total of 96 exhi-bitions, including Ministry exhi-bitions, Region/State exhibitions, ethnic traditional food stalls, business and economic linkages exhibitions, technology exhi-bitions, foreign equipment and product exhibitions, and small-scale industrial and manufa-cturing cooperative exhibitions, are open and selling. It is re-ported that 31 categories of awards will be presented in the product competitions, including digital trophies, certificates of honor, and cash prizes. The winners will have the opportunity to withdraw their cash prizes instantly through e-bank-ing using the digital payment system.
