In accordance with Section 425 of the 2008 Constitution, “The nationwide state of emergency declaration period has been extended for another 6 months,” as decided unanimously by all participants of today’s meeting of the National Defense and Security Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (1/2025).
Attendees at the meeting included the Acting President (On Duty), Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye, UUnion Minister for Home Affairs Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lieutenant General Tun Tun Naung, and special invitees including the Secretary of the State Administration Council General Aung Lin Dwe, and Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo. #Emergency_period #SAC #Myanmar #mtnews
