A document is being prepared to designate Myanmar Thanaka as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage, according to U Win Kyaing, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Archaeology and National Museums.
The document is being prepared in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and National Museums, along with Myanmar cultural heritage conservation NGOs, and is being prepared in Burmese, English and French.
By being included in the World Heritage List, Myanmar Thanaka and Thanaka culture will be internationally recognized and valued as an intangible cultural heritage that represents Myanmar and its people. #Thanaka #Heritage #Cultural #Myanmar #Mtnews
