The Spring Revolution Database reports that 5005 people died on the side of the PDF revolutionary force from 2021 to January 18, 2025.
Moveover, 10,596 of those identified as civilians died, bringing the total number of deaths to 15,601, but only 9,541 have their exact names and 6,060 are unknown. The SRD said that the death toll from armed EAOs such as the AA, KIA, MNDAA, TNLA, and KNU is not easily available, so it has only recorded what is available.
In addition, as a separate list of deaths in 2024, a total of (1,144) people died, including (956) members of the Public Defense Forces, (73) members of the NUG Defense Ministry, (67) members of the ERO, (43) members of the Public Defense Force (PDF), (3) members of the Urban Renewal Force, and (2) members of the Public Administration (PAF).
However, the PDFs more than doubled the number of killings, and in late 2022, NUG interim president Duwal Shila admitted to Reuters Next that his PDFs and EAOs had killed more than 30,000 people associated with the military in two years, and the NUG and EAOs have not released any figures for the killings that continued in 2023 and 2024.
