Myanmar-Russia Joint Committee on Counter Terrorism held its first meeting at Hilton Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw today.
Present at the meeting were Lt-Gen Myo Myint Tun and committee member senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich and senior officers from Russian Armed Forces.
First, joint chairmen of 1st Myanmar-Russia Joint Committee on Counter Terrorism Lt-Gen Myo Myint Tun and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich greeted each other.
Then, they approved the agenda of the meeting and posed for documentary photo together with the attendees.
At the meeting, they frankly exchanged views on further cooperation in Myanmar-Russia counter terrorism.
