A robbery occurred at KBZ Bank Branch (22) near Mandalay University in Maha Aung Myay Township, Mandalay Township, and the robber was arrested by bank security and public.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 pm on January 11, and the robber entered the bank armed with a handgun, according to witnesses.
“When he showed the gun, put the money in his pocket, and left, he was caught by bank security and people inside the bank,” said a woman who heard the incident.
During the incident, the robber returned fire, resulting in the bank assistant manager being injured.
