History bears witness to the Tatmadaw’s services in the interest of the country and people in view of national cause amidst the hostilities originated from internal armed conflicts, broke out when the country regained independence, and sectarian and political beliefs.
As the Tatmadaw’s recent national duties will go down in the annals of history, it must write a honourable history.
He said he acknowledged and honour those who are serving the nation and people by shouldering national defence and security duties, while facing internal and external interferences and dangers.
Tatmadawmen must be proud of themselves and be dutiful. They must nurture the habit of learning to know the situation of the area where they are active in. They must have individual-wise and unitwise military knowledge and awareness and have the wisdom to see and prepare for coming security situation.
The ongoing violence in the country has led to the loss of lives among security forces, civil servants, and civilians, as well as significant damage to infrastructure, including roads, bridges, factories, and buildings constructed for national development. In addition to the state’s loss, individuals also experienced social and economic losses.
Acts of violence must be defended against by the people, government, and military with a united front.
Security responsibilities must be systematically carried out in the areas of service to prevent violence and the use of armed force to intimidate the public.
As military personnel, we must also strengthen unity within the military and focus on organizing outside the military to unite the military and the people as one.
By building and uniting forces both within and outside the military, we will collaborate to ensure the security, stability, rule of law, and socio-economic development of the region in which we serve.Soldiers must live as individuals who are respected and trusted by the people by properly performing their duties.
Tatmadaw must place special emphasis on Our Three Main National Causes: nondisintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national solidarity, and perpetuation of sovereignty.A united force must be acted upon, and every military personnel must cultivate a soldierly spirit in defending the country.
The ability to effectively apply learned military skills, as well as experienced social knowledge and skills, in real-life situations is essential.
In line with the “study, practice, and follow” policy, we must continually study the ever-changing military skills, consistently practice the techniques and skills we have learned to improve proficiency, and always adhere to the established rules and regulations.
If applied not only to military matters but also to other activities, the work will be successful.
It is essential to encourage education and foster good habits of reading and studying literature
In terms of education, officers, soldiers, and their families must read and study books to acquire knowledge that will contribute to the improvement of their lives.Just as we must read and memorize literature to gain knowledge, we must also encourage our children to pursue education and develop the good habit of reading.
We must guide our children to select and read good books, fostering a future generation that is knowledgeable, skilled, and well-mannered.I encourage you to support your children in achieving high academic standards and to strive to be good parents, so you can pass on a valuable educational legacy.
With the availability of numerous educational opportunities in the Meiktila region, it is essential for the families of officers and soldiers to support their children’s education.
In terms of welfare, we are ensuring a standard of living for our military personnel that includes provisions for food and shelter, while striving to meet their rights and other needs to the best of our ability.
Leaders must also create a good environment for officers, soldiers, and their families, ensuring a balanced and fair governance model.
Leaders must command and govern with the spirit of a good commander and a father.
All officers, other ranks, and family members must live in harmony and unity, while fulfilling the duties assigned by the State and the Tatmadaw.
