Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the credentials from the newly accredited Ambassador to Myanmar of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Dr.Nassereddin HEIDARI at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw at 10:00 am today.
They then cordially discussed friendship and diplomatic ties between the two countries, further improvement of mutual trade, promotion of cooperation in science and technological sector, agricultural sector and defence sector, cultural exchange programs, further enhancement of bilateral friendship and cooperation, Myanmar’s latest political developments, preparations for holding a free and fair election with maximum efforts, assurance of the rule of law and peace and stability for holding a free and fair election, and invitation of international observers for the election.
Afterwards, the Senior General and the Iranian Ambassador to Myanmar posed for documentary photos.Also present on occasion were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Director- General of the Protocol Department U Zaw Tun Oo.
