Shan State (South) – According to the Narcotics Unit, heroin blocks and methamphetamine tablets valued at over 500,000 kyats were confiscated in Mong Pan Township at approximately 11:30 am on December 28.
A joint team of anti-narcotics police officers from My Pan District, near Ta San village, stopped and searched the VIGO car driven by Sai No Han (b) Sai No Lian while travelling from Mong Pan to Mong Tong.
During the inspection, authorities seized 120 blocks of opium and 200,000 methamphetamines valued at over 5,400,000 kyats, which were concealed in the floor drawer of a vehicle travelling from Namsang township to Mong Tong township.
Consequently, the pertinent police station has initiated a case against the two apprehended individuals under the Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Medicines. It is investigating additional arrests of associated criminals. #mtnews #mtnewsupdate #mongpan #mongtong #pdf #nug #drugs #heroin
