Terrorists are using civilians as human shields in launching surprise attacks against troops serving area security duties, blowing up bombs, and committing terrorist acts. In addition, they are hiding arms and ammunition and accessories in religious buildings, schools, public places and houses. In this regard, security forces are conducting area security duties, exposing and seizing their caches.
While security forces were conducting those missions, some locals who could not tolerate acts that might destroy regional peace and stability and terrorist acts secretly provided them with information that PDF terrorists, under the directives of NUG and CRPH, were hiding in Kalar Village about 8,500 metres west of Nganzun town and conducting terrorist acts and that they were covertly keeping arms and ammunition.
Security forces launched a sudden attack against the terrorist in the village at about 11 pm on 2 January and took necessary security measures.
During the operation, security forces engaged with PDF, who were hiding in the village, captured dead three terrorists and seized substances related to explosives, a health and social welfare association branded NISSAN XTRAIL and a Hijet small truck they were using at the house and school they were hiding.
Also in the past, there were instances that terrorists were entering some faraway towns and villages where administration was difficult, bullying the locals with arms, taking positions in department buildings including schools and residences, fortifying them by laying sandbags around inner and outer areas, planting mines, and setting up sand bunkers and terrorist training grounds.
Thanks to the information provided by duty-conscious persons, security forces were able to expose the terrorists and prevent their attacks.
Under the pretext of welfare undertakings, terrorists were using social welfare automobiles in carrying arms, ammunition and wounded persons.
News about those events had already been released.
Terrorists were using nonmilitary facilities such as homes of the people and schools for children as their hiding places where they also stored arms and ammunition.
Their acts were harming not only the education opportunities of school-age
children, but also the education promotion that supported regional development in a way.
So they were committing criminal acts.
The seized materials will be dealt with accordingly.
Local nationalities do not accept the terrorist acts of PDF terrorists, and thanks to the information about terrorist movements provided by them in time, terrorists and their arms and ammunition could be exposed and seized in time.
The entire people should collectively take part in ensuring community peace and stability by secretly sending information about terrorist movements to the nearest security forces.
