In Mandalay, a young obstetrician was kidnapped, and a ransom of 3,000,000 kyats was demanded, but the victim was killed and discarded. MT News’ initial investigation confirmed that the body had been murdered and disposed of, as reported in the news this evening.
According to MT News’ initial confirmation, the victim who was kidnapped and killed is Dr. Aung… Tun. He was abducted while riding an Oway tricycle on the night of December 16th after attending a birth in Myittha City, and a ransom of 3,000,000 kyats was demanded. Despite the family offering a ransom of 3,000,000 kyats, he was beaten to death, and his body was discarded on the side of Mandalay Kan Taw Gyi Lake Road. It was initially reported that the deceased was a doctor from the same batch.
A male doctor (OG doctor) was kidnapped. Three billion were at stake. They also offered money. Despite his choice, he was tortured and killed. The police reported that his body was later discovered near the Mandalay Kan Taw Gyi lake circuit. The murderer was a doctor from the same cohort. What’s astonishing is the nature of people. Even with their positions and knowledge, their understanding of what should or shouldn’t be done is compromised if they lack compassion and empathy. Regardless of what the perpetrator claims, the victim has already endured suffering, and the survivors are left heartbroken by the incident,” wrote a prominent Facebook account close to the family.
The aunt of the doctor who alleged he was kidnapped and killed also tagged her nephew on social media, saying, “Nephew Dr Aung… Tun (OG), may you never endure such a tragedy in another life.” MT News said they expressed their prayers, saying, “May they reside in a good place due to the good deeds they have performed.” MT News discovered that they all prayed and sought solace during the kidnapping and murder.
