On December 13, the individuals responsible for the kidnapping of the owner of a currency exchange shop near the district police office in Tachilek Township were apprehended today, December 18. According to a source close to the Tachilek City Police, they successfully rescued the kidnapped man.
The Tachileik Township District Police, along with a joint team, arrested six accused individuals in a house located in Pasade Ward, seizing two guns in the process.
The owner of the OK currency exchange shop was outside the shop in the early morning of December 13 when three individuals forced him into a car and drove away. According to a source close to the police, there were some interactions between the suspects and law enforcement. Currently, it is reported that the arrested suspects are under investigation.
On the morning of November 13, four men shot and robbed an employee at a phone shop in Tachilek City, resulting in the employee’s death. The following day, November 14, a team led by the district police chief shot dead and arrested the four perpetrators.
