It has been reported that the court has set the floor price on December 18 for land plot No.(54) on University Road, which is being disputed by U Aung San Oo and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, is reduced from 300 billion kyats to 297 billion kyats.
The price of 300 billion kyats had already been reduced to 290 billion kyats for the next auction, as U Aung San Oo proposed on October 22. However, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s lawyers filed an objection on November 21 during a court session, leading the court to rule on December 18 to reduce the price by 3 billion kyats further.
“Today, during the court session, the price was reduced by 3 billion kyats. The auction will be held on February 5. The report will be submitted on February 6. The place where the auction will be held was proposed at the court, but the court has decided that it will be held at this land plot. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the auction will occur outside the house’s fence or inside the compound,” said a source close to the court to MT News.
The auction price for land plot No.(54), which was previously Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s residence on University Avenue Road in Yangon, was changed from the previously set 315 billion kyats to 300 billion kyats. Since there were no buyers at 300 billion kyats, the price has been further reduced to 297 billion kyats.
