Myanmar and Laos will face each other in the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 Group B match on December 18 at 5:00 pm at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.
“Tomorrow, we will play against Laos. They have also lost points. We have also played two matches and have not had any results yet. It is a home match. We had a 3-day rest, so the injured players are also recovering. Now that they are recovering, we are ready for tomorrow’s match,” Myanmar National Team Head Coach (U) Myo Hlaing Win told MT Entertainment.
The pre-match press conference for the match was held at 6 p.m. yesterday, December 17, at the Thuwunna Football Stadium Press Conference Hall in Yangon. The official training sessions for the two teams were played at 5 p.m. for the Lao team and 6:30 p.m. for the Myanmar national team.
“Laos is a good team. I think it’s a team of young players, and we will be able to compete tomorrow. Soe Moe Kyaw and Win Naing Htun, who are going to Indonesia, are also back. We will try our best. I want to request the fans to come and support us,” he added.
Tickets for this football match will be sold at the ticket offices of Thuwanna Stadium from 11:00 am until the end of the first half on December 18. Special tickets are priced at 5,000 kyats at Gate (2), and regular tickets are priced at 2,000 kyats at Gate (8).
“I would like to thank Chairman U Zaw Zaw, the officials of the Myanmar Football Federation and my former colleagues for their warm welcome. I have returned to Korea, but I still miss Myanmar. I have been in touch with my friends and family here through Messenger. Since I returned here, Myanmar has changed a lot. I wish it will continue to improve,” said Ha Hyeok-Jun, head coach of the Lao national team.
The Myanmar team is at the bottom of Group B of the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 with one loss and one draw.
