The People’s Defence Force-Yenangyaung has issued a statement today that two police sergeants have been arrested and killed by PDFs in Yenangyaung Township, Magway District, Magway Region, claiming that they were spying on PDFs.
In the incident, two police sergeants, Aung Din and Myat Soe Naing, from the Yenangyaung Township, Lethmyat Kone Police Station, were reported to be disguised as civilians and were spying on the PDF groups. Based on the information, the PDF groups were waiting in advance at around 11:00 pm on December 11 and were arrested on the Mangye Tain-Phoe Koe road. They did not stop their motorbikes and tried to fight back with a hand grenade, so they were shot and killed on the spot, according to the explanation given for the incident.
The People’s Defence Force-Yenangyaung has also admitted that the above killings were committed jointly by the People’s Defence Force-Yenangyaung, Tamar Myay Special Coloum and Midland Dolphin’s Coloum.
