The Indian government has confirmed that, as part of its “Neighborhood First” policy and its commitment to assisting neighbouring countries, it will provide Myanmar with 2,200 metric tons of rice as humanitarian aid. Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal made this announcement. The rice will be sent to Myanmar through the Chennai port, and the Indian government has previously assisted Myanmar in responding to development and natural disaster challenges through various aid and support programs.
