A delegation led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation currently in Nay Pyi Taw, visited the significant sites of Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
On arrival at the Mini Theatre of Nay Pyi Taw National Museum, the officials explained the history of the museum, and the delegates observed the booths showcasing pre-history and early history periods, utensils, Thiha Thana throne and vehicles used by the presidents.
They proceeded to the Gems Museum and observed the jade replica of Uppatasanti Pagoda, the largest pearl of Myanmar and mineral resources. The Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly signed in the guests’ book and viewed round the gems and jewellery shops.
The delegation also visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image, and officials explained the construction processes of the Buddha Image and holding of religious events via video clip.
Afterwards, they donated flowers, water and oil lamps to the Buddha Image, and observed the Agga Dhipati Sasana Beikman and stone plaques bearing inscriptions on Tri Pitaka in Pali and Romanized languages. #Ref_GNLM #MrSholbanKara-Ool #NayPyiTaw #MT #mtnews
