Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with a delegation led by H.E. Mr. Tsydenov Alekesei Sambuevich, Head of the Republic of Buryatia and Chairman of the Buryatia Government of the Russian Federation, this morning at the Diplomatic Hall of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.
Attending the meeting with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Tin Oo Lwin, Dr. Charlie Than, U Tun Ohn, Dr. Nyunt Pe, and Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council U Thant Tun Oo, and other officials. The Russian delegation included H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, Mrs. Ludupova Evgeniia Iurevne, Deputy Head of Buryatia and Minister of Health and other delegation members.
During the meeting, the Senior General extended greetings, stating that the Republic of Buryatia holds a special relationship with Myanmar. He expressed appreciation for their goodwill visit to Myanmar and extended warm greetings.
H.E. Tsydenov Alekesei Sambuevich responded by expressing his honor in visiting Myanmar on this goodwill trip. He praised Myanmar’s peaceful and beautiful environment and noted the warm hospitality and courtesy extended by the government officials and the Myanmar people, deepening the friendly ties between the two regions.
Discussions followed on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation, mutual goodwill visits, Myanmar mainly engaged in the cultivation of rice, oil crops and eans and pulses, the establishment of plants to produce natural fertilizers, the potential for collaboration in boosting sunflower cultivation, the potential for Myanmar’s forest products to be used for manufacturing veneer and pulp, improving rubber and cotton production, and cooperation in turning raw materials into finished products.
They also discussed technological collaboration in industrial and mining sectors, tourism development, direct air connectivity, and educational exchanges to enhance human resources.
Further, they explored health sector collaboration, cultural and religious exchanges, and updates on Myanmar’s political developments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Senior General and H.E. Tsydenov Alekesei Sambuevich exchanged commemorative gifts and had a group photo taken.
The delegation from the Republic of Buryatia, led by H.E.
Tsydenov Alekesei Sambuevich, arrived in Myanmar on November 12. During their stay, they visited prominent landmarks, including the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Chaungtha Beach in the Ayeyawady Region, and other notable destinations. They plan to continue their visits to explore more iconic locations in Myanmar.
