Myanmar and Thailand are inseparable neighbours and good friends, and the issues of one country affect the other, the Prime Ministers of the two countries said during a meeting in China.
The two Prime Ministers met in Kunming yesterday (November 7th). They are in China to attend other summits, including the Eighth Greater Mekong Sub-Regional Meeting.
During this meeting, the chairman of the National Prime Minister, General Min Aung Hlaing, briefed H.E.Ms Paetongtarn Shinnawatra on preparations for successfully holding a free and fair multi-party democratic general election.
In addition, issues related to law enforcement and the development of the two countries’ border regions, the fight against transnational crime, drug interdiction, the fight against online gambling, and border trade were discussed. The two countries’ Prime Ministers also discussed investment and economic promotion conditions.
In addition, labour issues between the two countries, the conditions for promoting cooperation between the ministries and departments, and exchanged views on Myanmar’s political developments and the implementation of the established directions were discussed.
