Myanmar attracted over US$-1.45 billion of foreign direct investments from 52 enterprises within seven-month period of 2022-2023 financial year, according to the Directorate of Investments and Company Administration (DICA).
Singapore is the top source of FDI this year, with 14 Singapore-listed enterprises pumping FDI of US$-1.154 billion into Myanmar.
China made investments with over US$-90 million from 22 enterprises and Thailand, Japan, China (Taipei) and India also invested in Myanmar.
The energy sector received the largest FID worth of over US$-810 million, service sector over US$-410 million and manufacturing sector almost US$-180 million, according to the DICA.
