Myanmar’s military aircraft assets ranked 35th out of 140 countries in the world, according to Global Fire Power, which monitors the military strength of countries around the world and publishes global rankings.
According to the Global Fire Power report released for 2024, Myanmar has 293 military aircraft, ranking 35th in the world and 3rd among ASEAN countries.
Among the countries in the ASEAN region, Thailand ranks first in the list of countries with the most military aircraft, followed by Indonesia. Thailand has a total of 501 military aircraft, while Indonesia has a total of 474 aircraft.
Myanmar has a total of at least 293 military aircraft, including 58 jet fighters, 31 transport aircraft and 80 military helicopters.
Among the countries in the ASEAN region, Singapore has a total of 247 military aircraft, Vietnam has a total of 226 military aircraft and the Philippines has a total of 195 military aircraft.
Among Myanmar’s neighboring countries, Bangladesh has a total of 216 military planes, Laos has a total of 34 military planes, China has a total of 3304 military planes, and India has a total of 2296 military planes.
In the list of the countries with the most military aircraft in 2024, the United States, Russia and China stand and the United States has a total of 1,3209 military aircraft, while Russia has a total of 4,255 military aircraft, according to Global FirePower.
