In the northern part of Shan State, within the Kyaukme Township, there is a tense military situation between the Shan State Progress Party/Shan State Army (SSPP/SSA) and the TNLA, which has been declared an armed group. A resident has reported concerns that clashes may occur between these groups.
The tense military situation between the two sides is primarily due to the TNLA’s stringent restrictions on the SSPP/SSA troops, preventing them from moving through and entering the Nanchao region, thereby averting potential incursions.
As a result, it has been observed that SSPP/SSA troops are reinforcing their positions in Naung Pain village and Main Tin village in Kachin State, and it is also reported that TNLA forces are stationed along the Union Highway.
