Three PDF Involved in Mine Detonation; Two Injured, One Critical, One Escapes

A source close to the security group confirmed to MT News that three PDF members were traveling in a car to detonate a mine when a mine exploded on the vehicle.

Yesterday, October 27, at about 6:30 p.m. in Dagon City (Southern) Township, Ruby Road in Ward 62, an incident occurred. According to reports, two men were found lying on the side of the road with injuries. One of them was seriously injured. When relevant officials arrived to investigate, they confirmed the injuries of both men.

Another individual was wounded but able to speak. The two men were injured when a mine exploded in their car while they were on their way to detonate another mine. Of the three people in the car, one man, who sustained only minor injuries, fled the scene in the vehicle and is currently under investigation.

The two injured individuals are a 29-year-old man named Poe La Pyae, who resides in a dormitory on Thitsar Road in Ward 78 of Dagon City New-Sereng Township, and a 20-year-old named Pai Min Thant, who lives in an apartment in Block B of Yuzana Garden Housing in Ward 94 of Dagon City New-Satkantar Township.

Currently, the injured individuals are receiving medical treatment, and investigations are ongoing, according to a source close to the security group.
