According to Tatmadaw sources, at around 1:00 a.m., October 27, the AA was firing heavy weapons into NaMaKha (5), so the air attacked from the Tatmadaw side. In the afternoon, the bodies of the AA who died in these places were brought back. At that time, the NaMaKha (5) of the Tatmadaw attacked again with heavy weapons, it is also reported.

As a result of this incident, 28 AA members were killed on the spot, and the injured patients were taken away by cars.

“Today, the AA deployed in villages near NaMaKha (5) and attacked using heavy weapons. But the Tatmadaw bombed from the air with jet fighters. Many people from A injured by air strike. They are also saying that there are more than a few hundred dead and injured. In Maungdaw, AA also entered uninhabited houses in some areas they controlled and took what they had. Bengalis are suffering quite a lot from AA,” a resident of Maungdaw told MT News.

It is also reported that shots have been fired between the Tatmadaw and the AA in some parts of Maungdaw city.
