The 42nd ASEANPOL Conference, organized by the Myanmar Police Force, took place in Nay Pyi Taw on October 23 and 24. The closing ceremony was held yesterday evening at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I).
Police chiefs from ASEANPOL member countries attended the ceremony, along with high-ranking officers, their spouses, representatives from dialogue partners such as Russia, Australia, China, INTERPOL, and the ASEAN Secretariat, observers from Timor-Leste, the ICRC, the UAE, and other invited guests.
During the closing ceremony, a joint declaration of the 42nd ASEANPOL Conference was signed, and a commemorative plaque was transferred to the Royal Thai Police, which will host the next conference. The leader of the Royal Thai Police delegation delivered a welcome speech, and a video showcasing Thailand’s natural beauty was presented. The Chief of the Myanmar Police Force also spoke at the event, followed by a farewell dinner held at the MICC I.
