The Myanmar Embassy in Singapore has announced that Myanmar workers arriving in Singapore will be transitioned from a visitor pass (PV) to a work pass (PJ). Myanmar nationals holding a work permit PV type passport and residence card in Singapore, who have paid income tax and have records, are facing difficulties at Yangon International Airport when temporarily returning to Myanmar and departing to Singapore, both during the tax documentation process and while obtaining the OWIC card. It has been reported that there have been communications to the Myanmar embassy for assistance regarding these issues.
