SAC Chairman Urges ASEAN Police Collaboration to Combat Cross-Border Crime

During the 42nd ASEAN Police Conference hosted by Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), stated that ASEAN countries must unite to combat cross-border crime while meeting with leaders of delegations from ASEAN police member countries.

Police chiefs and senior officials from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam paid their respects to the SAC Chairman during the 42nd ASEAN Police Conference.

During the meeting, the SAC Chairman emphasized that police forces play a crucial role in ensuring domestic security and highlighted the extensive and vital responsibilities of law enforcement. He stressed the need for ASEAN member countries to collaborate in addressing cross-border crime effectively.

The SAC Chairman stated that through coordinated efforts among police forces from each country, they can effectively prevent and combat drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and online fraud. He also expressed gratitude for the participation of delegations at the 42nd ASEAN Police Conference hosted by Myanmar.
