According to the Yangon Map Planning and Publishing Group, the Yangon map will be published, which can also identify the demographics of the townships in the map and information of the Yangon region.
It is reported that in order to collect and produce such detailed information, and to ensure the accuracy of information such as the current ward boundary, main road, street name, river, river, lake, canal, sluice gate, railway, bridge, flyover, etc. U Aye Min Oo, leader of the Yangon Map Planning and Publishing Group, said that in addition to the book, detailed information can be viewed easily from a mobile phone.
In 1995, the Yangon Map Planning and Publishing Group was led by the Yangon City Development Committee’s Communication and Information Department to publish a new map of Yangon for the Visit Myanmar Year, and the Yangon Map Book for the 1996 Myanmar Tourism Year was published with the maps of Design Printing Services Company.
Now, under the leadership of the Communication and Information Department of the Yangon City Municipal Development Committee, the Yangon Map Publishing Group has published another map book of Yangon City Townships.
At present, as the first step, the Yangon Municipal Development Committee’s township leaders have made a QR Code system that will be able to verify the needs, and as the second step, it is planned to be able to be downloaded for the public.
