The Ministry of Interior announced that four elderly men were killed by the PDFs, accusing them of being Dalan (informants). On 20 October, 2024 at 2:00 AM, a report stated that two men were shot dead in Kyauk Tan Village, Natmauk Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Kan Aung (63 years old) and U Tin Tun (55 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were at their respective houses, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them accusing them of “Decoys”. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 5:15 AM, a report stated that two men were shot and stabbed to death in Pay Taw Kone Village, Minhla Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Tin Win (57 years old) and U Maung Han (56 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were at their respective houses, a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived, opened fire and stabbed to death on them accusing them of “Decoys”. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
