Myanmar’s aquatic products such as eels and crabs exporting to China through the Muse 105 miles trade zone started from 20 June this year, according to Muse 105 miles trade zone under the Trade Department.
An official, Department of Trade, Muse 105 miles Trade Zone, said: “We stopped exporting of Aquatic products to China due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the export resumed on 20 June this year and Crabs and Eels are regularly exported.”
Currently, Myanmar companies are legally connected with China counterparts and exporting crabs and eels to the China market. About 632.775 tons of crabs and 1,675.168 tons of eels were exported to China in October.
“According to the data from November 1 to 9, about 198.475 tons of crabs and 341.60 tons of eels have already exported to China via 105 miles trade zone,” he added.
The crab and eels are mainly exported from Mandalay to Muse. At present, Myanmar regularly exporting to China and earns a handsome price in the market.
Only aquatic products such as crab and eel are currently exported, an official said. 171.639 tons of crabs and 50 tons of eels were exported from 20 June to end of June; 942.543 tons of crabs and 1,574.480 tons of eels in July; 968.259 tons of crabs and 1,104.856 tons of eels in August; 855.333 tons of crabs and 1,373.960 tons of eels in September.
