The state newspaper declared Diwali Day, November 1, a public holiday.

In 1386, the State Planning and Administration Council announced Proclamation No. 175/2024, declaring the 1st day of the Tasaung Mone new moon (November 1, 2024) as Diwali Day. Consequently, it is recognized as a public holiday by Section 25 of the Negotiable Contracts Act and is a holiday for offices throughout the Union of Myanmar.

Therefore, November 1 (Friday) is an office holiday, making Saturday a day off. The office will be closed for three consecutive days, including Sunday.
