International Buddhism Leader Association of Republic of Korea presented Honorary Doctorate Degree for Global Peace to five sayadaws from Myanmar including Vice Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Sayadaw Bhaddanta Jotipala (Myingyan Sayadaw), according to a statement released by Myanmar Embassy in Seoul.
At the ceremony, Myanmar Ambassador to Korea U Thant Sin delivered an address and presented Honorary Doctorate Degree for Global Peace to five sayadaws from Myanmar as well as nine sayadaws from Laos, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Thailand, the statement said.
At the ceremony, 2nd Global Sangha Leaders’ meeting was held and Vice Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Sayadaw Bhaddanta Jotipala (Myingyan Sayadaw) recited Saraniya Ovadakatha.
