Four warships from the Russian Navy have arrived in Yangon to participate in the second Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise.

Russian Navy Destroyers: Admiral Tributes and Admiral Mendeleev, along with the Sea Tanker Perching, arrived at Yangon’s Thalia Port yesterday evening to conduct the inaugural Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise and to pay a friendly visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Senior officers and sailors from the Tatmadaw (Navy), along with Russian military attachés and officials, welcomed the Russian naval vessels. Captain 1st Rank Aleksei Anciferov of the Russian Pacific Fleet leads the warships, which carry a total of 800 officers and personnel. They will visit notable sites in Yangon, participate in friendly sports competitions between the two nations, and conduct harbor phase exercises.
