According to Yangon Region Private Transport Supervisory Committee (YRTC), 1600,000 passengers are transported by YBS bus line (131) in Yangon every day.
“There are about 3,800 vehicles operating daily in Yangon. “During office holidays, the number of vehicles is slightly reduced. Depending on the availability of CNG gas, during power outages, although the number of vehicles is low, there are some that increase the number of vehicles once the CNG is filled,” said a YRTC official.
According to YRTC’s statistics, currently 131 YBS bus lines are running regularly in Yangon city every day.
In addition, it is known that the number of passengers riding YBS vehicles in Yangon is about 16 lakhs.
