According to the Bagan Local Horse Cart Association, more than 100 horse-drawn carriages are providing daily service in Bagan’s ancient cultural heritage area during the Thadingyut festival period, so that local and foreign tourists can see and study the pagodas perfectly.
For tourists, it is planned to take pictures on a horse-drawn cart with the stupas in the background, travel between the pagodas and watch the sunset. Horse carriage gates near famous pagodas and Sakura, Tharapa, Bagan Thantae and near Bagan hotels are providing services more than before.
There are more than 100 horse-drawn carts that provide travel services in Bagan’s ancient cultural heritage area and if ride a horse-drawn cart to see the stupas, they charge 15,000 kyats per hour.
