Myanmar delegation attends 6th World Media Summit

The Myanmar delegation representing the Ministry of Information attended the sixth World Media Summit (WMS) held at the Xinjiang International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Urumqi, the capital of China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region yesterday.
The summit was initiated by Xinhua News Agency, Associated Press, Reuters, TASS and Kyodo News starting in 2009.
More than 500 attendees from over 106 countries and regions attended the summit, centred on the theme “AI and Media Transformation.”
The summit discussed Development and Change: The Use of AI in Media Development, Rules and Responsibilities: Journalistic Ethics in the AI Age and Fact and Truth: The Common Mission of Media in the Digital Age.
The second session focused on Cooperation and Consensus: People-to-People Exchanges along the Belt & Road and Opportunities and Win-Win: High-Level Opening-up and High-Quality Development in Xinjiang.
The summit enhanced collaboration within the global media sector to share advancements in AI development, facilitating high-quality development worldwide, and served as a critical forum for media leaders to discuss how technology can drive a more dynamic and resilient media landscape.
