According to a statement by the Myanmar Police Force, in Mahlaing Township, Seto Village, a village administrator was attacked and killed with knives by 10 members of the PDF (People’s Defense Force).
The incident occurred in Seto Village, Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region on October 9, 2024, at 6:00 PM. According to reports, security forces investigated the scene after receiving news that a man had been stabbed to death. It was discovered that U Tin Win (aged 60), the village administrator and resident of the village, had been attacked in his home by 10 PDF members (still being identified), who arrived on five motorcycles and stabbed him to death with knives. U Tin Win sustained multiple knife wounds and died as a result.
Since the start of the Spring Revolution until the end of July 2024, over 230 children, more than 90 monks, and approximately 1,200 civil servants, including village administrators, teachers, and government staff, have been killed. Around 8,000 civilians have been accused of being ‘dalans,’ spies or collaborators for the military junta and have been killed by the NLD, NUG, PDF and EAOs.
