U Aung Kyaw Moe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represents Myanmar at the ASEAN Summit in Vientiane, Laos.
According to BBC News, a Myanmar representative is being sent back to participate in the 44th ASEAN Leaders’ Summit for the first time in nearly four years.
Foreign ministers, including U Aung Kyaw Moe, participated in the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and associated gatherings. Reports indicate this marks the first time ASEAN leaders reconvened for the summit meeting.
