During the Thadingyut holidays, Palin Riverview Elephant Camp in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region, will welcome holidaymakers.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation operates the Myanma Timber Enterprise’s Palin Riverview Elephant Camp on the Ayeyawady River bank. With breathtaking views of the river and authentic Myanmar street food from restaurants, guests can relax at a long-legged riverside camp.
There is an entrance fee of 1,000 Kyats for locals and 10,000 Kyats for tourists. A local pays 5,000 Kyats for an elephant ride, while a tourist pays 10,000 Kyats. Children under the age of eight can ride for free with their parents.
