A KNU-PDF joint group opened fire on a Shwe Sinsingra passenger vehicle that was leaving for Yangon, and a woman was shot and wounded. At about 13 pm on October 7, the SSSK express (2M-9729) was shot near Ayekabar village while the express was leaving from Dawei to Yangon.
The passenger, Ma Nwe Ni Lin, who got a bullet wound, was a 30-year-old resident of Kawhmu Township, Yangon Region, who was injured by a small arms bullet in his left thigh. The KNU-PDF joint forces often planted mines and shooting attacks on targeting passenger vehicles in Mon State.
On the night of last September 1, A passenger dice vehicle driving from Thaton to Belin was hit by a mine in Kamasai village next to the Yangon-Mawlamyaing road, Donwon village group, Thaton township and the passengers on the vehicle, U Phyo Wai Kyaw, 37, and U Kyaw Myo, 31, were injured when the mine exploded and died. Daw Khin Than Win (60) and Ma Phuc Min (29) live in Min Village, and Daw Cho Mar (52) from Faye Village. Ma Win Win Htwe (33) from Kyu Chaung Village was also injured when the mine exploded.
